Zahleh Bus Terminal
Vision for a national transportation network

Project description

The Zahleh Bus Terminal was set to be constructed near the north-east entrance of the city in Maalaka in the Bekaa area.

The project design intended it to include: arrival and departure points for inter-city buses, a central taxi station, shopping areas next to the station hall, the waiting areas and the bus boarding deck, in addition to supporting facilities including a central station hall, ticketing and information facilities, and a post office. A large separate department store, spread over four floors, was also intended to be part of the development, thus constituting a common landmark with the proposed stations in Saida and Tripoli.
