Waterfront City Residences
A community on Beirut’s waterfront

Project description

Waterfront City is a mixed-use community located at a 15-minute ride from Beirut. It includes 602 residential units with apartments surfaces vary from 70 to 190 m² that have shared facilities and amenities: gardens, promenades, and a dedicated parking for 1,070 cars.

The brief

MAF aimed to achieve three objectives:

  • Designing a series of communities within the development, each targeting a different price point
  • Making sure that the regulatory framework is consolidated and enables large-scale development
  • Encouraging a distinct architecture that would be attractive to potential buyers

  • Our response
  • Designing three communities that represent variations of a common architecture theme, thus allowing a differentiated character while preserving sense of unity
  • Developing a design framework that enabled the integration of the full client brief in terms of specific product sizing, requirements and distribution
  • Advising client on regulatory framework and developing strategy for consolidating individual plots into superplots
