Info

The Beirut Cultural and Conference Center (BCCC) was envisioned to become a prime events hub for the Middle East, offering a level of services on par with international hospitality resorts and bringing the Lebanese capital back on the regional and international map. Planned to be located at the outmost tip of the Beirut coastline, its avant-garde design opens up to the sea and soars into the horizon, greeting both visitors and the future with open arms. Major challenges entailing the integration of existing urban facilities nearby while preserving the intended symbolism of the site were met thanks to a holistic design turning the entire location into a single architectural landmark. The BCCC would offer multiple lodging options, including two hotels and 198 luxury furnished apartments. An international conference center with an auditorium and a theater, a major exhibition hall, a shopping mall, a leisure center and a sports club were to be part of the center as well to better accommodate political, business and cultural events.
