Info

The Tripoli Stadium is located at the southern entrance of Tripoli on a rectangular parcel of land adjoined to the sea. Inspired from the traditional boats amply present in this coastal city, the stadium was designed to be raised above ground and was covered by the western grandstand with a steel and PVC fabric cover to shelter the VIP lounges, first class and press seating areas.

Easily reached via the northern highway leading into Tripoli, the stadium can accommodate up to 23,000 spectators and is served by a mixture of underground and surface car parking facilities, in addition to dedicated bus stops. Football and athletics grounds are provided along with players facilities and support services, making the stadium compliant with international federations requirements. The Tripoli Stadium was one of the three main stadiums that hosted the 2000 AFC Asian Cup.
